We offer in-office sedation tailored to each child during a pre-visit consultation. Your child is asleep, comfortable, and continuously monitored, and you're in the recovery chair beside them when they wake.

A NOTE ON YOUR CHILD'S PLAN

Your child's specific sedation plan is determined by our anesthesia team based on medical history, the procedure, and your child's needs. We'll walk you through the exact plan at your pre-op visit.

NO HOSPITAL NEEDED

Sedation happens in the same chair your child already knows, no unfamiliar building, no separate facility fee, no sedation team meeting your child for the first time on the day of treatment. Our anesthesia team only accepts cases that are safe for in-office sedation.

Why an on-site anesthesiologist matters.

No hospital trip.

Most pediatric dental offices that offer deep sedation require an admission to a hospital or outpatient surgery center. That's an unfamiliar building, unfamiliar people, pre-op intake, and a long day. We do it here, in the same chair your child already knows.

A doctor whose only job is safety.

Our dentist focuses on the teeth. The anesthesiologist focuses entirely on your child, their breathing, heart rate, oxygen, and comfort, from the moment sedation starts to the moment you walk out the door.

Our partner anesthesiologist is a licensed M.D., board-certified in anesthesiology, with extensive experience sedating children. You'll have a pre-op conversation with the team to review your child's health history before anything begins.

Recovery in a familiar room.

When treatment is finished, your child wakes up in our recovery area, not a hospital bay. You're in the room. Stuffed animal, blanket, and a popsicle waiting.

what the day looks like

A typical IV sedation day.

Night before

No food or drink after midnight (we'll give you exact timing for your child's age & weight). Get a good night's sleep. We'll call to confirm.

Morning of

Arrive in comfy clothes. A parent checks in while the dental team greets your child. Pre-op review of health history with the anesthesiologist.

Sedation begins

Your child is brought back to the treatment room. The anesthesiologist begins sedation and within minutes, they're sleeping.

Treatment

The dentist completes all planned treatment in one visit, no need for multiple appointments. Full monitoring the entire time.

Waking up

Your child wakes up in our recovery area with you right there. Groggy but safe.

Going home

Once vitals are steady and your child is drinking fluids, you head home. Plan a low-key afternoon and a cozy movie.
